I wanted to write something about love. Something about love and the way it makes your stomach flutter. Something about how it makes your hands tremble and your eyes sparkle with an incomprehensible shine that only a person in love could muster. Something about the way it straightens your shoulders and the way it makes your chest ache.
However, since I cant remember the last time felt these things in the presence of someone writing about love is impossible. Love is something that cannot be described without ever having experienced it and that's the gospel truth. &
Soul vs. ShoeMy feet tromped steadily, With determination, Down the concrete path laid before them, The journey was planned, And the costs were known, To all of the body, Except the soul,Soul vs. Shoe
Why must we go down this way? The soul asked uncertainly, To the ever sure feet,
I have no choice,
The feet defended, It is these overly large shoes who choose Our path ahead, They were paid for in blood, And I love them so, But I am no longer in control,
But I wish to go another way! The soul sighed, You love these shoes so much,
Heart vs. EyesMy eyes looked up, Into the soul of another, Seeing only perfection, In it’s every form,Heart vs. Eyes
It dazzled and mystified them,
A puzzle to be worked,
Yet I feel no spark,
Chimed my desolate heart,
Never mind that,
Ignored the eyes, As the replaced the rosy glasses From whence they spied The man and his perfect lies,
Can you not see, Foolish eyes, That the man you seek, Does not do what he should? Cried the heart, I should feel joy and rapture, I should always beat faster! Yet none of these t
Body vs. MindThink no more, Said my tired body, Just sleep the day away,Body vs. Mind
The temptation had all but won, To lay down, And sleep till the day, And the night, And the next day too, Had passed into the archipelago
Of times gone,
My tired mind replied quickly,
No, For that would be too easy a fate, To go to the falseness of a dream, Do not sleep!
But the dream is best, The body argued, For the is no pain, How can you not know this truth?
Mind then sighed with regret, Without pain, How will we grow? H
